We love a versatile bit of furniture. Something that plays with the light and forces a fresh perspective throughout the day. While you might think of radiators as being static and just a little bit boring, we believe they can be just as much a part of the decor as any other piece of furniture in your home.
We offer metallic, matt and satin shades to suit a range of interiors. Our cast iron radiator colours are sympathetic to the style and effortlessly timeless. So, rather than choosing a colour that might look a little dated in a few years, you can opt for a hard-wearing and versatile colour that blends seamlessly with your interiors.
Like the antique bronze shade, gunmetal grey is a subtly shimmering shade that can look very different depending on the light. It’s one of our favourite things about this colour selection, as it transforms the radiator into a dynamic element in your home.
Gunmetal grey is a deep grey shade often compared to anthracite or slate grey. It’s a cool-toned shade with a subtle metallic finish that helps to reflect the light and elevate the radiator colour.
Don’t worry, it’s not an intense glitter finish, but the paint contains metallic particles which result in a subtle sheen. It’s also not a glossy finish, as the surface of the cast iron is textured to prevent this.
You’ll notice in photographs that this shade can look light grey to deep grey depending on the lighting. It’s a lot like the antique bronze in this respect, which can also appear to be bright gold or muted brown.
On the ornate radiator styles, the metallic finish helps to enhance the design as it emphasises the relief of the design by creating highlights and lowlights.
We recommend ordering paint finish samples if you’re not sure how this will look in your home. This is far better than relying on computer and phone screens, which can make colours appear very different to how they will look in real life.
From a pure maintenance perspective, we love this shade for its ability to hide the dust and marks. But the perks of the gunmetal grey go way beyond this.
It’s a cool-toned shade that works well in both modern and traditional interiors. The deep colour allows the radiator to blend into the background, but the hint of metallic elevates the shade and draws the eye, particularly when the light catches it.
We don’t offer every colour under the sun for a very good reason – by sticking to a carefully selected palette of versatile colours, we can pass the savings on to our customers. This is why we’re up to 40% cheaper than our competitors.
If you have your heart set on a particular shade, you are welcome to order your radiators with a primer only and arrange to have them painted in a custom shade.
But the vast majority of customers are happy with our versatile choice of paint colours. Black, Grey, Cream and Bronze offer a mix of warm and cool tones that are adaptable to any interior.
Our two best selling shades are Gunmetal Grey followed closely by Matt Black. Of course, you don’t have to be swayed by what is popular. If you have a vision for your home, we can help you to bring it to life with stunning cast iron radiators that look the part and stand the test of time.
